One of Thoroughbred.Global’s priorities is greater visibility for the people whose work is essential to racing but who are not always in the public spotlight.
The 2027 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards, sponsored by Godolphin and organised by the BHA, are now open for nominations.
Recognition for racing’s workforce
Nominations are open until 5pm on 5 November 2026. There is £128,500 in total prize money across six categories, and the ceremony will take place at York Racecourse on 22 February 2027.
Why this matters
Behind the horses, trainers, jockeys and owners is a much larger workforce: grooms, riders, travelling staff, stud employees, handlers, administrators and specialists throughout breeding and racing.

We want People of Racing to become more than occasional award coverage. Thoroughbred.Global will look for stories explaining the skill, responsibility and careers behind racing and provide a place where excellent work can be recognised.
